Children discover 'What makes a mammal a mammal'

Mountains Restoration Trust will present a program titled "Learn What Makes a Mammal a Mammal" from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sat., Oct. 13 at Headwaters Corner, 23075 Mulholland Hwy., Calabasas.

Youth ages 8 to 12 can learn about mammals and how many of them live in the Santa Monica Mountains. Activities include a hike to look for signs of mammals, a guest speaker who will bring live mammals and a related craft.

Preregistration is required. The fee is $15.
