Heschel West waging 'holy war'

Without so much as a blush, the Heschel jihad forges forward, prepared to shamelessly displace, discommode and endanger an existing community while desecrating and defiling the most pristine remaining open space in Agoura.

This morning, my doorbell rang and there stood a delivery person with "priority overnight mail" requesting a return signature to assure that I had received my "Notice of Completion" of the Heschel juggernaut's disingenuous busing and car pooling plan.

I suppose this should have made me feel like an important fellow, but instead I ruminated on how Heschel proponents have made the moral and ethical education of their youth one of the centerpieces of their holy war, and the myriad poor and homeless that could have been fed with just the cost of this mailing alone.

Subsequent to the rejection of more appropriate sites, the backers seem convinced that with enough money, fancy footwork, and/or disinformation from the Chamber of horrors, oops, I mean Commerce, they can cause the community to forget about conditions imposed by the Los Angeles Regional Planning Commission and cram their square peg into our round hole.

For the sake of those who live adjacent and of our most beautiful remaining open space and habitat, I wish they would prove me wrong but absent a conscience, that is not likely. Larry Brown Agoura Hills
