Rockin' the house

HIP- Caroline Aiken plays at the Bodie house this Saturday.

Neil and Renee Bodie have the ultimate home stereo system. As part of an ongoing service to the local music community, the couple hosts live concerts at their Agoura Hills home featuring a variety of performers.

The next Concert at the Bodie House is 8 p.m. Sat., Oct. 13 with Caroline Aiken, a versatile guitarist who plays rock, blues, folk and country. Aiken is also a singer/songwriter and has performed with The Indigo Girls and Bonnie Raitt.

The house concerts are a nonprofit affair and the $15 admission price is donated to the musician. In the spirit of giving, guests are encouraged to make contributions to the dessert and appetizer bar.

"It's turned into quite a family affair," says Renee Bodie. "The kids are my roadies and they schlep all the furniture out."
