Cub Scouts need a few good boys Cub Scout Pack 127 of Agoura/Oak Park/Calabasas is now forming new Cub Scout dens for Wolves, boys in second grade, and Webelos I, fourth-graders. Boys in grades one, three and five may join existing Tiger, Bear and Webelos II dens. Every Cub Scout is a member of a pack, a large group of boys. The pack is divided into smaller groups called dens. Each den has about six to eight boys. Den members are about the same age and live in the same neighborhood. Cub Scouts wear uniforms, go places and see things. They play sports and build things like race cars and bird houses. Scouts win prizes and awards as they go camping and do crafts, games, sports, songs, stories and puzzles. Activities are used to achieve the aims of Scouting: citizenship training, character development and personal fitness. A Cub/Parent Camping weekend at Scout Camp Josepho is scheduled for Oct. 19 to 21. Interested parents should call Cubmaster Andy Coradeschi at (818) 609-8310 (days) or (818) 575-9419 (evenings). |
