Parents meeting slated on autism

An informational meeting for families of young children with autism will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wed., Oct. 10 at Penfield School, 640 Jazmin Ave., Ventura.

Leslie Comstock, speechlanguage pathologist for Pleasant Valley School district, will discuss communication issues and share techniques designed to promote communication skills.

In addition to the talk, participants will have the opportunity to network with other families as well as local agencies and service providers.
