Coloring contest for young environmentalists

An environmentally themed coloring contest is open to Calabasas students in elementary and middle schools.

Titled "Benefits of Bottles and Cans Recycling," the contest is hosted by the Calabasas Environmental Commission.

Drawings must be done by hand in an 8½-x-11-inch format in landscape orientation.

Winners will be chosen based on creativity and theme. Winning drawings will be printed in the 2008 city of Calabasas Community Recycling Awareness calendar, and each winner will receive a $25 gift certificate.

Drawings should be submitted to the city of Calabasas Environmental Services Division. Deadline to submit an entry is Tues., Nov. 6.
