Dog park under consideration

A dog play area could be coming to Oak Park. The Oak Park Recreation and Park Planning Committee will discuss the dog park proposal at 7 p.m. on Thurs., Oct. 11 at the Oak Canyon Community Center.

The facility could be located at the back of Oak Canyon Park, according to Mike Green, a member of the Oak Park Municipal Advisory Council. "There's lots of room at the back of the park. There's no reason why two to three acres couldn't be fenced off and there's plenty of parking," Green said.

Both Calabasas and Thousand Oaks. have dog parks.
