Someone stole a book bag containing an $80 textbook from a vehicle parked on Rainbow Crest Drive on Sept. 22. The thief caused $2,500 in damages to the vehicle's soft top cover by ripping it to gain entry.

Thieves stole a $1,500 billboard from a vacant lot on Kanan Road on Sept. 17.

Someone took $600 in cash from the kitchen counter of a home on Las Virgenes Road on Sept. 2.

Burglars stole a $8,000 stove and a $500 microwave from a vacant house Sept. 2. Light fixtures, mirrors and handles throughout the house were also taken.

Hidden Hills

Burglars stole a $2,200 Persian rug from the garage of a home on Long Valley Road on Sept. 19.

Oak Park

An unlocked vehicle parked in the 5800 block of Hickory Drive provided easy access for thieves who made off with more than $400 worth of valuables on the night of Sept. 16.

Westlake Village

Someone stole a $500 cellphone Sept. 22 from an unlocked vehicle parked on Kirsten Lee Drive.

A $300 camcorder and a $40 wallet were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked on Henley Court on Sept. 22.

Thieves took a $60 wallet containing three credit cards from a vehicle parked on Seven Oaks Court on Sept. 22. The vehicle reportedly was unlocked.

Someone stole a $750 catalytic converter from a 1989 Toyota pickup truck parked on Yorkfield Court on Sept. 20.
