Conejo Players presents Caribbean 'Little Mermaid'

Conejo Players Theatre will present "Once on this Island Jr." weekends from Oct. 6 to Oct. 14. Shows are at 1 and 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, with a Friday performance at 7 p.m. Oct. 12.

A Caribbean adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's "The Little Mermaid," the musical was written by Lynn Ahrens with music by Stephen Flaherty. It's the story of a young peasant girl who rescues and falls in love with a young man from a wealthy family. When the young man is returned to his people, the girl must test the strength of her love.
