Yerba Buena launches website

We would like to commend Ned Davis and Stuart Selter of the Las Virgenes Educational Foundation (LVEF) and Dr. Don Zimring, superintendent of the Las Virgenes Unified School District (LVUSD), for their vision, support, and leadership.

The partnership between the foundation and the school district has allowed us at Yerba Buena Elementary to move forward with a brand new website, www .yerbabuenaelementary.com, which was created in record time.

We are truly honored and proud to be blazing the technology trail in LVUSD by being selected as the first school in the district to redo their website courtesy of the LVEF. We have received a great deal of positive feedback from our parents, students and staff. They truly appreciate all the information available on the site.

In particular, the individual teacher web pages are making it much easier for our families to communicate with our faculty, see the homework assignments and stay informed about what is taking place in the classroom. In addition, they can see what is going on at school by looking at the messages from the principal, the events calendar and the PFA information pages.

Communication is a vital component for student achievement and we are pleased to have this new tool which so greatly increased our communication between school and home.

We know that all the other schools in the district will be excited as we are when they get their new websites. Thanks again to Ned Davis and Stuart Selter for spearheading this project and to Dr. Zimring for his endorsement of this leap into the 21st century. Brent Noyes, principal Nancy Minicozzi, computer
