District says let's do coffee

Oak Park residents can attend "Coffee and Chats," a series of monthly informational meetings about new developments in the community's schools.

Presentations will be made by leaders in particular subjects and will be followed by a questionand-answer period.

Jane Mintz, director of educational technology, will lead the first meeting, scheduled for 7 p.m. Wed., Oct. 24. The session will focus on technology in the district.

"We are always looking for new ways to communicate, share information and answer people's questions about their school district," said Oak Park Unified School District Superintendent Tony Knight.
