Book sale to benefit library

Looking to support a cause and take home some new old books?

Friends of the Calabasas Library will hold a book sale at the library Sat., Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The organization promises books for children of all ages, as well as popular best sellers and classics- and each for just $2 or less.

The volunteer group organizes events to benefit the library. Ongoing Friends' projects include children's summer reading and rental book programs, and funding the book club.

Goals include encouraging contributions to the library, promoting appreciation of the facility and providing special programs to the community.

The Friends of the Calabasas Library meet at the library on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m.

To donate books to the sale, call (818) 225-7616. The Calabasas Library is at 23975 Park Sorrento, just behind The Commons.
