Wellness Center opens valley satellite office
Winnetka site offers programs in English, Spanish

The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura will open a new valley satellite facility with an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. Thurs., Sept. 27. The official ribboncutting will be at 4:30 p.m.

The satellite is at The Victorian, 19725 Sherman Way, Ste. 270, in Winnetka. The facility is home to the community's Latino Outreach Cancer Program in the San Fernando Valley and will offer regular cancer support programs from 7 to 9 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.

A new group for cancer patients, facilitated by Jodi McIntosh, will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays at the site.

Programs offered at the satellite are in both English and Spanish. All programs are free of charge.

The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura's programs offer weekly support groups where cancer patients can share their thoughts, feelings and concerns with other cancer survivors and exchange information about cancer.
