How does that water flow?
I read with great interest Doug Paterson's letter, "Garden runoff pollutes water supply," of Sept. 13. Paterson described how runoff from our lawns and gardens is entering the supply of reclaimed water from the Tapia plant.

The generation of over-consumption
Last month I was mildly amused while entering our fair community of Oak Park. I was greeted by signage on the bulletin board that urged me to save water because every drop counted- a message from a district that continues to flood the streets and sidewalks on a nightly basis.

Absurdity of 'supermajority'
It amazes me that apparently few seem to realize why it is so difficult to pass a budget in this fine state of ours. It's the ridiculous "supermajority" requirement.

Another word on those chem trails
Reading the letter in this week's Acorn, I had to shake my head at the close-minded people who only believe in what they are told to. The Sept. 13 letter written by R. Stilson, "Doesn't buy conspiracy theory," gets under my skin. How someone can call any letter outside the norm "garbage" s...
