Golf tourney benefits the homebound

Shop Ahoy, a nonprofit organization responsible for delivering nearly 5,000 grocery orders to homebound adults in Ventura County, will host a golf tournament at 11:45 a.m. Mon., Sept. 24 at Sterling Hills Golf Course, 901 Sterling Hills Drive, Camarillo.

The event begins with lunch at 11:45 a.m. and shotgun start at 1 p.m., followed by dinner, silent auction and awards at 6 p.m.

The cost to participate is $150 for individuals and $555 for a foursome. Non-golfing spouses and any others are welcome to come for the dinner and silent auction.
