PEAK- The Conejo Valley Apex Boys U16 soccer team celebrates their victory in a preliminary tournament in Encinitas, Calif., on Aug. 11 and 12. The Apex lost to the Burbank Fury in the finals the following weekend in Thousand Oaks after the teams played a scoreless game through a pair of five-minute overtimes. SHINING STARS- The California Stars U16 soccer team recently beat Tustin United to clinch the championship at the Orange County Classic Tournament. It was a nearly perfect weekend for the defense, who kept their opponents scoreless.
