Youths invited to enter mall art show

Ventura County students from kindergarten through grade 12 are eligible to enter their artwork in the annual Pacific View Mall Student Art Show, which will take place during Ventura County Arts Week 2007 from Oct. 5 through Oct. 14.

The official entry form and guidelines are available at the Pacific View Mall Guest Services kiosk and all county libraries.

There are four classifications: Early Elementary (K-2), Upper Elementary (3-5), Middle School (68) and High School (912). The winners in each classification will receive a $25 gift certificate to the mall.

The artwork will be judged by patrons of the mall who cast their votes in a ballot box near the exhibit.

Entries can be delivered in person to the Pacific View Mall Guest Services kiosk or submitted by mail to the Ventura County Arts Council office. Each entry must be accompanied by a completed official entry form. The deadline for artwork to be received is 5 p.m. Sat., Sept. 29.
