Thanks from new Learning Center

Thank you Acorn for the opportunity to express our appreciation to the many public officials and school district employees who helped make the Las Virgenes Community Learning Center a reality.

To the members of our local school board, thank you for the vision and courage you've shown in approving a new school that offers an alternative approach to education.

To our school district officials, thank you for getting behind this wonderful idea and making the school happen in record time. Your support and can-do attitude have been inspiring.

To the construction and maintenance personnel, thank you for the hours and hours you put into getting the center open and ready for students on the first day of this school year. We want you to know that we saw you there, day after day, taking care of a myriad of details and we thank you.

We also want to say thank you to the elementary school we are leaving behind. Our children were well served there.

We are excited about being part of a new community of learners, with all teachers approaching their students as individuals with unique learning styles, all parents committed to volunteering and supporting their school on a regular basis and all children encouraged to work together, and as responsible individuals, as their natural love of learning is nurtured.

We hope that the center will serve our children's spirits as well as their minds and we thank all the individuals involved for bringing this dream to fruition. The Hoff and Rodgers Families Agoura Hills
