Join in fun day for families

The Shalom Institute will host a free Family Fun and Safety Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat., Sept. 8 at 34342 Mulholland Hwy., Malibu.

Families can participate in safety workshops, arts and crafts, climbing wall, nature trails, zip line and a children's playground.

Lunch will be provided, plus baby-sitting for children under 5.
