David H. Murdock will host a fundraising event to benefit Ride On Therapeutic Horsemanship and the services that they offer to the disabled on Sat., Sept. 15 at Ventura Farms, 235 W. Potrero Road, Thousand Oaks

The event starts at 3 p.m. with cocktails, silent auction and equestrian performances by the Foxfield Drill Team and other riders.

The charge of $175 includes dinner with all of the proceeds going to Ride On.

"This is the seventh year Mr. Murdock has graciously opened his home and his ranch to Ride On and our families. This wonderful afternoon showcases our riders and the very special horses that help them in so many ways. Mr. Murdock's generosity allows 100 percent of every dollar raised at this event to help these inspiring riders" said Bryan McQueeney, Ride On's executive director.

Ride On teaches therapeutic horseback riding to children and adults with physical and mental disabilities at locations in Chatsworth and Newbury Park, serving 180 disabled riders on a weekly basis.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available by calling Bryan McQueeney at (818) 378-0963.

For ticket and event information, call Sara Jones at Ride On at (805) 375-9078. Tickets will not be available at the door.
