Boys & Girls Club of West Valley to create mile of quarters in mall

The Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley will create a "Mile of Quarters" as a novel fundraising activity starting 10 a.m. Sat., Sept. 29 at the Westfield Topanga Mall in Canoga Park..

The event will feature quarters being laid out for one mile- 5,280 feet- and stretching through the canyon section of the mall. With one foot of quarters equaling $3.25, if the entire mile is filled, $17,160 will have been raised to support the club's programs for needy youths.

The event will also include live music, a master of ceremonies, a DJ, dignitaries, and other entertainment throughout the day.

Sponsorship opportunities are available, starting at $3.25 for one foot of quarters.

The Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley is at 7245 Remmet Ave., Canoga Park.
