It's not the water, it's the additives

It's not the water quality or taste but the amount of manipulation the MWD does to the water, and the LVMWD goes along with it, before you receive it that has people upset.

Fluorine is the latest toxic chemical added to the water to "protect" us. Did you ask them to do it?

Fluorine is one of the members of the poisonous gas family of elements, like chlorine (bleach), bromine (termite killer), iodine (kills germs), all poisonous. Cumulative in our bodies? Cause of old age diseases?

"F" is the atomic symbol and is described in the dictionary as a "pale yellow, highly corrosive highly poisonous, gaseous element."

When added to a basic necessity like water without your approval or vote it's called medication without consent. If we need fluorine in our bodies, we can brush our teeth with fluoride toothpaste, rinse with mouthwashes and even take fluoride pills. That is your choice, to take or not to take, buy and use this product. It should not be served to us without a warning label.

CFCs which contain fluorine have been banned from aircondition fluids and most industrial applications and have been blamed for the depletion of the ozone layer. By going along with the MWD, the LVMWD has decided it's all right to use this poison to keep your teeth perfect.

Read the toothpaste boxes. Small children should not use fluoride toothpaste and should not swallow toothpaste.

Does the government or service agencies, unelected in many cases, have the right to "medicate" us in the cause of eliminating cavities?

Perhaps we like pure fresh water without the additives. It's bad enough we have to wash and shower in it. James A. Ruddy Westlake Village
