Living and loving with cancer

Wendy Basil, MA, will lead a free workshop addressing the intimacy issues of couples facing cancer diagnosis and treatment. The workshop will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Mon., Sept. 10 at The Wellness Community Valley/ Ventura, 530 Hampshire Road, Westlake Village.

Basil will lead a discussion that will explore the emotional and physical aspects of intimacy,changes that can occur as a result of cancer treatment and how to keep intimacy alive during diagnosis, treatment and beyond.

Basil is a healthcare educa tor and doctoral candidate at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara.

The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura is dedicated to providing free support and education to people affected by cancer.
