Gypsies close summer with 'Goldilocks'

JUST RIGHT- Olivia Hewitt as Goldilocks shows her "affection" for Renee Smith's Red Riding Hood in Gypsies in a Trunk's end-of-season rendition of "Goldilocks and the Three Bears." In this version of the classic tale, Little Red Riding Hood comes on the scene to foil her friend Goldilocks' plans. The group will present the show in Westlake Village on Saturday.
The all-volunteer Gypsies in a Trunk will close their 13th season of Fairytales in the Park with "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" in September. All performances are outdoors and open to all ages.

Goldilocks has an appointment with her Gramma to bring her some cookies, but her friend, Little Red Riding Hood, has other ideas. Meanwhile, the Three Bears are celebrating Papa Bear's birthday with disastrous results, thanks to Junior Bear. The girls arrive after the Bears leave for a walk, and chaos ensues when the Bears return home and find the unwanted guests.

This tale is written and directed by Chris Carnicelli and stars Patrick Beckstead, Olivia Hewitt, John Logue, Pat Newbert, Renee Smith and Carnicelli.

Shows are free, but donations will be accepted to help cover expenses. Guests may bring lawn seating and a picnic lunch.
