No man is an island

Every American is responsible for the deaths of the coal minters in Utah. Our insatiable demand for electrical power, which predominantly comes from coal, fuels the greed of mine owners like Robert Murray. In their lust for wealth they are willing to risk the lives of hard-working Americans by sending them into unsafe conditions. These pigs act with impunity with the blessings of federal officials appointed by the Bush administration.

Next time you turn on an incandescent light bulb or pump up the AC, remember that our electricity is made possible by the sweat and blood of our fellow Americans. Live responsibly. Accept responsibility. Mark T. Rackow Agoura Hills
