New coach needs coaching

Regarding AHS girl's volleyball coach (Acorn Aug. 16), new Agoura High School girl's volleyball coach Carlos Cojulun mentions some advice he received from Doug Magorien, his head coach for Westlake High's volleyball team.

Apparently he never received this advice: Keep criticism of the deplaced coach and team very private. Cojulun's negative public analysis of the team: "girls had a lot of talent but had not developed it yet," "emotionally defeated," "the moment something would go wrong, you could just see the team start to crumble," all seems a bit cocky, immature, and premature for someone who has not coached one minute of varsity volleyball.
