Author publishes acting primer

Agoura Hills author Wayne Evans Collier has published "An Actor's Primer: S.T.A.G.E. or a Simple Approach to Acting."

The book is written as a road map for both the beginning and seasoned actor who is trying to create a living, breathing character for film, stage and television.

In it, Collier breaks down the art of acting into five steps, or chapters, called STAGE.

"S" stands for Source- the script, or the improvisation.

"T" stands for the Typical attitudes the actor creates.

"A" stands for Action- how the actor gets what he wants.

"G" stands for Goal- the desired state of being successful in having what you want.

"E" stands for Essence- the sense of being the character acting on the stage or in the film.

Collier has acted in several feature films and in many television shows and TV series.

He graduated from the Dramatic Workshop in New York, taught acting privately in Hollywood, and was the advanced drama coach with the Mickey Rooney Actor's Workshop in Beverly Hills.

Collier's book was sent to print by PublishAmerica.
