Oak Park kids put on a show to support animal shelter

A backyard reader's theater presentation of "The Billy Goats Gruff Go Calypso" raised $125 to benefit the Ventura County Animal Shelter.

The show was recently presented by local children in Oak Park. The money was raised through donations from the audience and the sale of popcorn and lemonade.

Involved in the production were director Erica White, musician Christopher Steiner, producer Laura Ornstein, Pat Russell, Wendy Xiao, Sabrina Farboody, Tom Dembsky, Courtney Wing, Laura CruzAlbrecht, Nora Ornstein, Victoria Ha, Natalie Varney and Gracie Ellsworth.
