Fun in the sun music festival coming to Ventura Harbor

A "Peace, Love and Fun in the Sun Music Festival" will be held from 12:30 to 6 p.m. Sun., Sept. 2 on the main lawn at the Ventura Harbor Village, 1583 Spinnaker Drive, Ventura.

The event is free and will feature live entertainment and all-age activities.

Original bands from Ventura County are set to perform, including Aspen, a vocal harmony adult-orientated rock band, The Hard Miles Band, featuring husband-and-wife team Paul Burger and Cheryl Pederson, and Sea Cloud, featuring vocal harmonies.

Also on the bill are the Phat Daddies, the Daily Routine featuring Charlie Vaughn, and the Paul Starling Band with Brian Brigelson.

The event is sponsored by the Ventura Port District and E. Legal Records, a Ventura County-based independent record label.
