      Right before her time was up, a fluffy 10pound pup received a second chance at life. Miss Ellie, a 2-year-old poodle-bichon mix, was set to be euthanized Aug. 13 before Oz Animal Rescue group stepped in to save her. Despite her narrow escape, Miss Ellie isn't in the clear just yet.

Oak Park kids put on a show to support animal shelter
