Condos are wrong

On Aug. 1, the Calabasas City Council voted 3-2 to approve an 86-unit condominium complex to be developed on Las Virgenes Road. Mayor Pro Tem Mary Sue Maurer and Mayor James Bozajian supported the community's request for Standard Pacific Homes to make some modifications to the proposed plan in order to preserve as much scenery as possible and to reduce the negative impact to the community.

Council members Barry Groveman, Dennis Washburn and Jonathon Wolfson voted to approve the proposed project without any modifications, even after hearing hours of testimony from members of the community this project will negatively impact. Councilmember Groveman forced a vote and did not want to consider any modifications.
