Group offers support to families of addicts The Thousand Oaks NarAnon Family Group is a weekly support group for those who know or have known a feeling of desperation due to the drug addiction problem of a family member or friend. The group meets every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in room 9 at Temple Adat Elohim, 2420 Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks. The group has no religious affiliation. NarAnon's program of recovery is adapted from Narcotics Anonymous but is for the addict's loved ones rather than the addicts themselves. Members share their experiences, strength and hope at weekly meetings. There are no dues or fees, and newcomers are always welcome. The group serves Ventura County and west San Fernando Valley. For more information, visit www.nar-anon.org or contact one of the group's volunteers: Della and Randy at (805) 5274559, Jack and Marge at (805) 5274559 or Mark at (805) 4972220. |
