Song recital at St. Max

St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church will present "Awakening: A Recital of Songs" at 8 p.m. Sat., Aug. 18 in the church sanctuary at 5801 Kanan Road, Westlake Village.

The concert will feature original music by Frederick Bayani Mabalot, church director of music, and vocals by sopranos Leberta Loral and Winter Watson, who will be accompanied by the composer on the piano.

Tickets are $20 and will be available after all Masses on Aug. 4, 5, 11 and 12. Seating is limited.
