Handweavers and Spinners Guild to meet

The Ventura County Handweavers and Spinners Guild will hold its monthly meeting at 9:30 a.m. Sat., Aug. 25 at 701 S. Del Norte Blvd., units 115 and 120, Oxnard.

Members are asked to bring their entries to the Ventura County Fair, together with any ribbons won there, for the annual fair show-and-tell.

The meeting is free and open to the public.

A members and friends spinin workshop will be held the same day from 1 to 4 p.m. The fee is $5. Wheels, fibers, carders, spinners and other tools may be brought to the workshop, including items to sell or trade. Reservations are not required.
