Remembering Michael Reardon

It was with sorrow that I read about Michael Reardon, who is missing after being swept off a cliff in Ireland, in this week's Acorn.

I moved to Oak Park in January 2004. My son and I were new, and we knew no one here. Shortly, after, it was Michael's daughter Nicolette's birthday, and the whole class was invited to laser tag in Sherman Oaks; we had a wonderful time with the Reardon family and friends. Thanks to this family and their warmth my son and I began to feel as if we belonged in Oak Park.

There were many times I saw Michael, sometimes driving by in his white Jeep, in the coffee shop or in the local stores. It was always great to see him around and to say hello to him. I will truly miss those times. Apinder Bal Oak Park
