Local nurses certified for hospice care

Two local nurses at VITAS Innovative Hospice Care of Los Angeles and Ventura County passed the National Board for Certification of Hospice and Palliative Nurses.

Alison Collins of Woodland Hills and Cindy Goldman of Calabasas add Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse to their professional credentials.

Nurses must re-certify every four years. "This isn't easy," said Susie Fishenfeld, senior general manager. "We have structured weekly study groups, intense preparation and outstanding participation."
