Celebrate High Holy Days at Hyatt with Chabad
1,500 people expected to attend services

SHOFAR- Chabad of Conejo is preparing for High Holiday services to be held next month at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza in Westlake Village. Chabad urges those who wish to attend to make early reservations, as 1,500 people are expected to participate.
Chabad of the Conejo will host High Holiday services in the Grand Ballroom at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza. Rosh Hashanah will be celebrated starting Wednesday evening, Sept. 12 and Yom Kippur begins Friday evening, Sept. 21.

Chabad estimates that 1,500 adults and children will come to these services. Hotel boardrooms will be used for the junior congregation and teen sessions.

The services are open to all Jews. There are no membership fees or prior affiliation necessary to attend services. Hebrew-English prayerbooks (machzorim) are provided.

A staff of educators and rabbinical students will conduct junior congregation. The children's program includes prayers, stories, songs, contests, prizes and refreshments.

The traditional service is blended with contemporary insights. Many of the prayers and customs are explained during services.

Special arrangements have been made to accommodate those interested in spending the High Holy Days at the hotel for a retreat. Firstclass accommodations include glatt kosher cuisine and special hotel room rates. Chabad urges early reservations to guarantee a space.
