Eagles tribute, sports leagues on tap

The following programs are offered by the city of Agoura Hills Department of Community Services. For more information, call (818) 597-7361 or go to the Agoura Hills Recreation Center, 30610 Thousand Oaks Blvd., Agoura Hills.

•Team packets are available for the fall 2007 adult basketball league. Games will be played Sundays from 6 to 10 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Agoura Hills/ Calabasas Community Center. Play begins the week of Aug. 26.

•Team packets are available for the fall 2007 adult coed and men's softball leagues. Coed games are played Sundays at Chumash and Forest Cove parks in Agoura Hills beginning Sept. 9. The men's league games will be played Saturday mornings at Chumash and Forest Cove parks beginning Sept. 8.

Deadline to register is Thurs., Aug. 16 at 7 p.m. for men's softball and 8 p.m. for the coed league. The managers' meeting for each league will take place at the time of deadline at the Agoura Hills Recreation Center.

•"Desperado: a Tribute to The Eagles" will be the featured artists performing in the free Concert in the Park series from 6 to 8 p.m. Sun., Aug. 5 at Chumash Park, 5550 Medea Valley Drive, Agoura Hills.

•Tai chi classes are offered on an ongoing basis Mondays and Wednesdays at Reyes Adobe Park, 30400 Rainbow Crest Drive. Beginning classes are from 10 to 11 a.m., intermediate from 9 to 11 a.m. The fee is $4 per day or $29 a month. Participants must be registered in the class and members of the senior recreation program.
