Academy raffles $1-million home

Kadima Hebrew Academy plans to give away a new $1million home in West Hills, or $800,000 in cash, in a Valley Million Dollar Home Raffle. The final grand prize drawing will be Sun., Nov. 4.

The 3,475-square-foot home features five bedrooms, four bathrooms, three fireplaces and a gourmet kitchen and is completely furnished and landscaped.

In addition to the million-dollar prize, additional cash prizes of $72,000 will be awarded to raffle winners. No more than 18,000 tickets will be sold at $150 each. The entire raffle will give away 60 prizes in all.

There will be two Early Bird drawings. The deadline for the first drawing is Aug. 22 and Sept. 19 for the second drawing. Early Bird winners could receive $15,000, $5,000 or one of five awards of $1,000 each.

Those who purchase more than one ticket will be eligible to win additional prizes totaling more than $50,000. All ticket winners will be eligible for the final Grand Prize.
