Bank rewards local students

Caitlin Cohen
Amy Klebesadel, an Agoura Hills resident and Agoura High School graduate, and Caitlin Cohen, Oak Park resident and La Reina High School graduate, are two of 713 children of Wells Fargo employees who recently shared $895,700 from the company's college scholarships program.

Klebesadel and Cohen each received $1,000 from the Wells Fargo Team Members' Dependant Children Scholarship Program.

To qualify for the award, applicants must be dependent children of Wells Fargo team members and must be enrolled or planning to enroll fulltime in an undergraduate course of study at an accredited two or fouryear college.

Klebesadel is the daughter of Janet and Dan Klebesadel. She was an honor roll student and was distinguished as a California Scholarship Federation member, 2007 President's Education Award winner, Golden State Diploma recipient and member of her school's math honor society. She also won numerous awards for her equestrian activities. She will attend the University of Georgia this fall as an athletic scholarship winner and compete on the school's equestrian team.

Amy Klebesadel
Cohen is the daughter of Randal Neal Cohen and Anne Schauerman. She excelled in academics, played in soccer and track varsity athletics, served as a confirmation class instructor at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, and participated in the school drama group, Regent Performers. She served as team captain of the school soccer team and co-captain of the Comedy Sportz team. She will attend Boston University this fall to study history.
