Upgrades for Calabasas Road

Drivers who travel Calabasas Road may have noticed an improvement in traffic flow since the city installed a new striping pattern to help move cars along.

Turning lanes have been placed in front of Calabasas' Bob Smith BMW and 101 West Acura automobile dealerships.

The eastbound traffic and bike lanes have been shifted toward the dealerships to allow for "safer turning movements," according to a statement from the city.

The shift will also provide a legal area for truck loading and unloading, officials said. Previously, trucks loaded with new cars blocked or slowed traffic by parking in the road.
