Out of the mouths of babes

I was sitting in the car reading The Acorn, and I was so sad to see the article about the boy named James Street who died due to a skateboarding accident (July 12, pg. 44A). But then I realized just a few pages back (page 28A) you ran a photo of two boys skateboarding without helmets, and you were implying a positive comment on their summer fun without regarding the fact that they were not wearing helmets.

I was upset by this and wondered, "Who looked this over?" You are sending an inconsistent message to your readers. Alice Dillon, 13 Westlake Village
