Mineo is Jafra president

NEW BOSS- Frank Mineo will report to Vorwerk, Jafra's parent.

Frank P. Mineo has been appointed president and chief executive officer of Westlake Villagebased Jafra Cosmetics International. Jafra is a division of the Vorwerk Group, a direct sales supplier out of Germany.

Mineo will report to Vorwerk and is responsible for the development and implementation of Jafra's business strategies both in the United States and abroad.

The company has an international network of 500,000 beauty consultants around the world.

Mineo's appointment is a homecoming of sorts as he spent seven years working with Jafra, then a division of the Gillette Company, in finance roles in Europe and the United States from 1987 to 1994.

Born in Salem, Mass., Mineo graduated magna cum laude from Boston College and earned an MBA from Babson College. He and his wife, Marie, have two grown daughters who are both in the field of educational development.

On Aug. 28, Jafra will unveil a new corporate logo and skin care line. Mineo will be on hand to make the presentation.

Jafra was founded in 1956 and moved into its Westlake headquarters in 1979.
