Senior Concerns to serve 'ultimate' gourmet dinner

Senior Concerns' 22nd annual Ultimate Dining Experience, a gourmet wine tasting, dinner and fundraising auction extravaganza, will be held Sun., Aug. 5 at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza, 880 S. Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village.

The event will begin at 5 p.m. with a wine tasting by Opolo Vineyards of Paso Robles. A martini bar and walk-around champagne will also be offered.

Silent and live auction items include vacation getaways across the United States, a 14carat tennis bracelet, collectibles, art and customdesigned gift baskets.

A fourcourse dinner will be produced by six chefs from Hyatt Westlake Plaza, Sherwood Country Club, Mediterraneo, Café Provencal, the Westlake Culinary Institute and North Ranch Country Club. The dinner will be paired with local and international wines.

Tickets are available for an opportunity drawing featuring a diamond pendant weighing 1.25 carats. The necklace can be viewed and $20 tickets purchased at the Ben Bridge store in The Oaks mall. Tickets are also available from Senior Concerns at (805) 497-0189.

Tickets for the Ultimate Dining Experience are $175.

Proceeds will benefit Senior Concerns' community-based services, including Meals on Wheels, Adult Day Center, family support services, Senior Advocates information and counseling service, Ventura County's Alzheimer's Day Care Resource Center and informational seminars.
