DuBose Heyward wrote the lyrics for the classic tune "Summertime," from the 1934 folk opera "Porgy and Bess," with his wife, Dorothy, and Ira Gershwin.

George Gershwin wrote the music. The musical was based on DuBose Heyward's novel "Porgy."

Gershwin's surname was misspelled last week on The Acorn opinion page.
