President, media duping the public

The Bush administration has been systematically destroying the foundation that this great nation was built on. The media has been the messenger of Bush. It is disguising right-wing deception, fear-mongering and outright propaganda as news.

America's main source of news is from television. The television media has been deregulated to the point that it is now under the control of a few wealthy corporate and individual conservative ideologies. The truth is out there, and, with the exception of Keith Olbermann on MSNBC at 5, it is not to be found on television. A good starting point for a clear view of reality is the Huffington Post online and Air America radio 1150.

Bush is stripping away our freedoms and endowing himself and his corporate sponsors with unprecedented power, reminiscent of fascism. The public interest, for which our government exists, is being subordinated to the interests of the wealthy and the powerful. The people of this great country can no longer sit around and do nothing. It is time for all of us to speak out and reclaim our country.

Pay attention or be prepared to walk the goose step.
