Church musicians to meet

The annual Conference of the National Association of Church Musicians will be held Thurs. through Sat., July 19 to 21 at the Camarillo United Methodist Church, 291 Anacapa Drive.

The public is invited to a free concert at 7:15 p.m. Fri., July 20 in the church sanctuary. The concert will feature the Camarillo UMC Chancel Choir and the Alchemy Bell Choir from the Prince of Peace Episcopal Church in Woodland Hills.

During the threeday conference, session topics will include conducting, working with children's choirs, implementing music ministry strategies, working with instrumentalists, understanding the human voice and hand bell techniques.
