Aspen summer party at The Canyon

The second annual Aspen Summer Party is scheduled for Sat., June 30 at The Canyon club.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for dinner and 7 p.m. for general admission.

The event is sponsored by E. Legal Records, a Ventura County-based independent record label, to help promote the careers of local musicians and entertainers.

The headliner is Aspen, a vocal harmony adult-oriented rock band based in Thousand Oaks which has worked with many national acts.

Performing blues rock is The Hard Miles Band featuring husband-and-wife team Paul Burger and Cheryl Pederson, Thousand Oaks residents.

Brian Bringelson, aka Paul Starling, is the winner of the "Be the opening act" contest hosted by E. Legal Records. Bringelson is a young songwriter/musician who grew up in the Conejo Valley.

Also on the bill are comedians Dan Greenberger and Bruce Baum. Baum calls Thousand Oaks home.
