Oxnard Salsa Fest in need of volunteers

Volunteers are needed to staff the 14th annual Oxnard Salsa Festival on Sat. and Sun., July 28 and 29 in Plaza Park in downtown Oxnard.

An informative volunteer training session will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. Tues., July 10 at Heritage Square Hall, 731 S. "A" St., Oxnard.

Job assignments include staffing the information booth, serving salsa, selling souvenirs and assisting with event setup.

Volunteers will receive a festival T-shirt, free ticket for the salsa tasting tent and a postfestival thankyou party at Ruby's Cafe in Oxnard.
