Westlake Village awards grants

The Westlake Village City Council has awarded community service grants totaling $81,000 to 26 local nonprofit organizations.

The awards were based on recommendations of a citizen's advisory committee which reviewed and screened all of the submitted proposals.

Among the organizations receiving funding are White Oak Elementary School art specialist, $16,425; Lutheran Social Services of Southern California, $6,000; Friends of the Westlake Village Library Inc., $5,000; Agoura High School music program, $5,000; and Wellness Community Valley/Ventura, $4,000.
